She now weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces, which is the 47th percentile for her age, and she is 23 3/4 inches long, which is the 49th percentile for her age. Doctor said she is healthy and very strong for her age, and that she is the cutest baby ever! She cried when she got her shots (and so did I), but she quieted down pretty quickly when we promised her ice cream 2 years from now. All in all, she is doing great and we will return to see the doctor at 4 months!
Kalea LOVES taking baths, and likes to kick her chubby little legs and splash water everywhere. She HATES getting out of the bath and putting clothes back on.
Kalea LOVES to go for rides in Grandpa's boat and she especially loves it when he goes fast! She HATES it when he stops and will start to fuss if it takes too long to get going again. She really just loves being outside and going on adventures. In her short life she has already been on tons of boat rides, been four-wheeling and hiking and it won't stop there! Anytime she gets fussy, we just take her outside and she quiets down and watches the puppies play.

Swimming for the first time with daddy
Kalea can hold her head and shoulders up at a 90 degree angle and loves to look around at everything. She almost has complete control of her head, but still likes to head-but daddy cause she thinks its funny. She can almost put all her weight on her legs, we just hold her hands and she bounces and dances around on her chubby little legs.
Waiting for the fireworks to start on the 4th of July
She can hold her head and shoulders higher but she gets camera shy!
Kalea is sleeping an average of 7-8 hours at night, which has been pretty typical since she was a few weeks old, and which makes momma very happy! Since she sleeps a lot at night, she is very alert and active during the day and only takes little catnaps here and there and likes to play on the floor and LOVES to be held.
Kalea is a little mover. All the time she is wiggling, dancing, looking around, scooting, moving her arms, kicking her legs, and trying her hardest to crawl. Even when someone is holding her, they have to be moving all the time.
Kalea is smiling and grinning all the time and just on the verge of giggling, she makes cute little huh-huh sounds when she smiles, it seriously melts my heart every time. She especially loves to smile at daddy!
She has the cutest little dimple in her left cheek!
Kalea is such a sweet and beautiful little girl and I am head over heels in love with my little bundle of joy! Here's a comparison of her mommy at 2 months and her at 1.5 months...
On another note, mommy ran her first 5k since being pregnant and probably got her worst time ever, but it was a good little race. I am currently on week 5 of triathlon training and can't wait to do it at the end of August with my little brother! It's definitely helping me get back in shape after the pregnancy and I feel so great! And Kalea loves it when I take her running in the stroller and its great bonding time for us.

We are also taking our first family vacation (aside from the several trips to Bear Lake) this weekend, we are heading up to Yellowstone and the Tetons for the weekend and are so excited to take Kalea camping and hiking and site-seeing! It will be so much fun!
This is too adorable to not put in...
My aunt crochets these super cute little props for her daughter who is a newborn photographer, but she always needs a model to make sure the size is right and she borrows Kalea...
She is a little mermaid! But one of her star boobies fell off!

So cute. That mermaid outfit is my FAVORITE! So glad she is growing healthy and strong. Such a sweet girl.
